Korean Culture Day 2026

On March, 21, 2026, we hosted a Korean culture event at Centreville library. During this event, different activities such as making/eating Kimbap, and playing Korean traditional games such as "Gonnggi", "Jegichagi", and "Tuho" were available.

During the event, participants were allowed to create their own Kimbap rolls while choosing the ingredients that they want. They were also allowed to take their Kimbap home. This helped spread Korean culture and ingredients while allowing for flexibility and compromise. Various snacks were also provided that helped expose participants to well beloved Korean flavors.

Throughout the event, various KHFSS members were available to help with the Kimbap making process, while helping explain the rules of the Korean traditional games to those

who were unfamiliar.

This event proved valuable for both participants and volunteers through spreading and celebrating Korean culture.
