Asian American & Pacific Islander Festival 2026

On May 9th, 2026, KHFSS participated in the Asian American & Pacific Islander Festival at Mason District Park hosted by Fairfax County to promote Korean culture alongside other Asian cultures.

In our booth, we hosted a variety of games, including Ddakji Chigi, a traditional Korean game in which players try to turn the opponent’s Ddakji, a folded envelope, upside down by using their own Ddakji. We also had Jegichagi, which is another traditional game where players kick a small object into the air as much as they can. Other games included Gonggi, Tuho, and interactive events. To finish off, we also provided traditional Korean snacks for our guests to enjoy.

We also enjoyed spending time with not only our team members, but also with other important leaders during the event. We collaborated with other prominent organizations, including Fairfax County, by creating an Instagram video to promote Asian culture.

We had an amazing time this year at the Asian American & Pacific Islander Festival, and we hope to take part in the upcoming events!
