On May 10th, 2025, KHFSS participated in the American & Pacific Islander Festival, hosted by the Fairfax County government, in an effort to promote and spread Korean culture along with other organizations. The festival featured performances representing Asian cultures such as Chinese lion dancing, K-pop dancing, and many more.

In our booth, we hosted various stations ranging from traditional Korean games, including Tuho, Gonggi, Jegichagi, and Ddakji, to giving out free Korean snacks, which everyone seemed to enjoy.

In addition, we gave Jong'i Jeopgi (Origami) lessons, where participants learned how to make their own Ddakji to play the game and paper Carnation to celebrate Mother's day.

At the end of the festival, our organization received a certificate of appreciation for our impact and acts of service to the Asian American community.
